Charter Celebrations

It's a tradition for each Lions Club to celebrate the anniversary of its formation. This is perhaps the most important date in the Club's social calendar and is referred to as its 'Charter' Celebrations (recognising that on their formation every Lions Club is issued with a Charter Certificate from The International Association of Lions Clubs).
The format for this occasion is usually a formal dinner followed by speeches and entertainment. Speeches include a form of message from the International President which is normally delivered by The District Governor (or a representative from the District).
